Inaugurating the Restaurant Review Section
We just love exploring a new restaurant every weekend and trying different cuisines. And it is not just my husband, myself but even my 6-year-old kid is also very fond of eating at new places, trying new recipes, for this, I can pat myself and my passion and interest for trying new dishes.
So, to commemorate my passion for food and my insatiable appetite for trying new restaurants, food, and food-related experiences I am dedicating a whole new section in my blog “Review Bites”. In this section, I will be posting reviews of restaurants and their dishes. And if you are following (do it if you are not already) my blog then you may end up knowing the good, bad, and best about the restaurants we end up trying during weekends or while on vacations. I will try to cover all the places that we explore irrespective of the state, city, or country.
Introducing the Chubby Cho
To inaugurate this section, the very first restaurant that I plan to review is Chubby Cho in Hyderabad. (Will share the address link at the end of the blog). Well, the cute name, awesome food photos, good rating on Google, and above all the craving to have some good Asian food was enough to motivate us to invest our precious weekend time here. Trust me the ambiance and dishes were as cool as the name of the restaurant. Located in Jubilee Hills, this place is very easy to reach and there is no hassle at all in finding the place. They have a valet parking service which ensures stress-free parking experience. There are lift services available in the building for the restaurant on third floor, so no accessibility issues.
Restaurant Ambiance Review
As soon as you come out of the lift, you will see colourful planks all along the wall which has a puzzle kind of a thing basically mimicking the monasteries. Just rotate the bars and find the name Chubby Cho written in it. If you end up waiting for your chance to get seated, this could serve as a good time killer for the kids and even for adults if they are like my husband, no pun intended. This place is generally having a good rush on weekends so it always better to reserve a table either by calling them directly or through Dineout. We reserved ours through Dineout.

They have a beautiful ambiance with comfortable seating and can definitely be enjoyed by all. There is a mix and match of colors, well laid tables and a live kitchen. The variety in sitting, from sofa-based, dining chair based to low-height coffee table kind of sitting, was serving a good spectrum of sitting requirements and needs.

Food and Beverages:
They have good number of options in both Veg and Non Veg, we went for vegetarian ones and found every ordered dish to be superb in taste, presentation and distinct flavours. My little kiddo also enjoyed each and every dish.
Our Order at the Restaurant:
- Asparagus Tempura Uramaki

- Hakka Noodles (Forgot to click a picture as we jumped into it as soon as it was served)
- Assorted Veg Basket Dimsums

- Fresh Lime Soda
Restaurant’s Dessert Novelty
- Water chestnut Rubies for Dessert

Summarising the experience for our Taste Buds
Each and every dish was just amazing. I had Uramaki for the first time and absolutely loved it and the Wasabi along with it was a total hit. Ya actually it hit us hard when we had it for the first time, but then we started enjoying it. The assorted basket of dim sums have all the beautiful colours, enough to get your taste buds salivating. There were varied flavours like mushroom, vegetables and all were equally delicious. The Hakka noodles that we had was also scrumptious and we along with our kid enjoyed it thoroughly. The dessert that we ordered was absolutely different in taste and presentation. We liked it but my kid somehow did not enjoy it the way he enjoys desserts.
We were a little too full that day with all these dishes so couldn’t try their rice variety but will definitely go the next time to enjoy some more amazing dishes.
Serving and Cost:
The serving was decent. As per our appetite, it was good to serve two people. The serving was quick and the staff was very helpful. When asked, they beautifully explained their dish and also gave good suggestions regarding the dishes.
The cost of dining here is a little on the higher side, approximately Rs. 2000 for two people. But, taking the dining experience, the ambiance, and the food quality, you will find it totally worth it. So do give it a try if you are in Hyderabad and you are definitely gonna love it.
Will be back with another blog exploring and reviewing another restaurant soon.
Restaurant Location:
